In the case of Strip Search we are talking about ten people. Each one of them a talented cartoonist. They will all live together in a house here in Seattle. They will compete in a series of challenges that will test their skills and we will slowly whittle them down until we are left with one winner. This cartoonist will win a cash prize along with integration into the Penny Arcade machine. That means a studio in our office but it also means access to our business people, our merchandising operation, our designers, and our ping pong table. The winner will get plugged into the Penny Arcade family for one year. We will not own any of their work, and there will be no evil contract to sign. We will just be there to support them and help grow their comic in a way that very few other organizations could.
I really want to try to get on this show.
Too bad I’m gonna get on and I’m gonna win like a m o t h e r f u c k a u g h
I want you to get on just so I can watch you cry like a baby from my personal Penny Arcade Office space. I will capture your tears in a vial to present to Jerry as a thank you present.
Then I’ll make like a strip about it or something. It’ll be awesome.
in the first episode they’ll be all why are you here and i’ll be like to show up laurence kerr and they’ll go who the hell is that and i’ll slowly turn my head to the camera and the rest of the episode will be me raising a single eyebrow over the course of 25 minutes

I watched an episode of Duckman as a refresher.

I tried to make it look like the old Psychonauts comics which I thought were watercolored but I guess not!
i originally thought up these questions for writers, but then i realized that they can really apply to anything - artists, composers, whatever. idk about you guys but i love to talk about my process so yeah
- red: is it hard for you to think up new ideas? list three of your biggest influences.
- orange: what do you do when you’re inspired? do you scream eureka, write the idea down in a notebook, what?
- yellow: what do you do when you’re stuck in a block? list three sources of inspiration when new ideas are scarce.
- green: how do you flesh out an idea? does it take a long time, do you mull over it for hours, or does it come easily? describe the process!
- blue: depending on your form of art, what are some of your favorite ways to characterize, add detail, design, establish a settling, or otherwise elaborate on the piece? are you fond of world-building, or does that pose a problem for you? (customize this question if you’re an artist or otherwise)
- indigo: picture of your workspace!
- violet: describe your work habits. do you eat? do you need music? are you messy or organized? do you keep a notebook? how long can you work at a time? etc.
- silver: what’s the hardest part of a piece for you? (plot, background, etc)
- gold: the easiest?
- black: what is your least favorite part of the creative process?
- white: your favorite?
- rainbow: do you believe in true originality?
- brown: what does it take for you to honestly be proud of something?
- pink: what is the most rewarding part of being a writer, artist, etc?
- magenta: what drives you the most insANE?
Okay I guess! I’ve started working on Princess Panic, which has given me some focus artistically that I’ve been lacking for a while. My day job’s been sort of stressful, but I’ve started watercoloring lately on my lunch breaks, which have been a nice little shot in the arm and have helped me get out of a bit of an art rut. However, this has taken time away from my webcomic Lunch Comix, and it’s current ongoing story line Erica is Actually a Robot. However, I’m chipping away at it and it’ll get there! I also just got over a huge shitty stomach thing but I’m okay now.
I guess to answer your question it’s been a weird couple weeks but things are looking up. Thanks for asking, aeagles!
